Jamariey Atterberry receives Ole Miss offer

Jamariey Atterberry (CB, Kosciusko, MS) - One of Mississippi's top prospects camped at the Ole Miss 7 on 7 tournament today. Jamariey impressed the Ole Miss staff enough that he received a scholarship offer soon after the camp ended today.

"Coach (Ed) Orgeron told me that it was the way I played at the camp today. He said I was the best corner he had seen at any of his camps," stated Jamariey Atterberry.

How did Jamariey feel about his performance?

"I feel like I did a great job today. It was my best camp yet."

Where else has Atterberry camped?

"I went to MSU last weekend, and I am going to Alabama next."

Which colleges have now extended a scholarship offer to Atterberry?

"LSU, MSU, USM, and Ole Miss."

Does Ole Miss' offer alter Atterberry's commitment status with MSU?

"Yea, I am going to have to think about it, but yes it does. I had really been waiting on Ole Miss to offer me, so now that they have, yea. I am going to have to talk it over with my parents tonight. See, MSU told me I could come down, but they were not sure if I would play in my first year. But Coach Orgeron told me I could play next year. Basically, the playing time status will be the main thing for me."

The saga of Jamariey Atterberry continues. It is a long ways to signing day, but it seems like there are more players than MSU now.
