Bianco hires Rob Reinstetle

Ole Miss Baseball Coach Mike Bianco didn't waste any time in finding his man to fill the vacancy left by Dan McDonnell, who took the head coaching job at Louisville this week. Bianco hired South Alabama Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator Rob Reinstetle to take over his top assistant's post.

Ole Miss Baseball Coach Mike Bianco tabbed South Alabama Recruiting Coordinator Rob Reinstetle to take over the duties occupied by Dan McDonnell, who is now the head coach at Louisville after serving with the Rebs the past six seasons.

Bianco said Reinstetle will be the Rebel recruiting coordinator, hitting coach, infield coach and will handle third base coaching duties in games.

Rebel Hitting Coach Stuart Lake has resigned his position at Ole Miss to pursue another baseball opportunity. Pitching Coach Kyle Bunn and Coach Carl Lafferty will remain on Bianco's staff, but both will be promoted a "notch."

We will interview Bianco and Reinstetle as soon as possible on the hire and coaching changes. The following is Reinstetle's bio from South Alabama's web site prior to the 2006 season:
