Two stand out for David Williams

David Williams (TE, Little Rock, AR) - D.J. is one of the more sought after prospects from the Natural state.

As a junior, Williams had 51 catches for 688 yards and 6 TD's while manning the tight end and fullback positions. On defense, Williams finished with 132 tackles (82 solos) and seven sacks.

Some colleges project David at fullback while others see him as a pass catching tight end.

Which ever position the 6' 2", 245 pounder plays, David is willing to give it a try.

"I just want to be out on the field. They can put me at punter. I do not care, just let me play ball, " stated David Williams.

It is that unselfish attitude, along with his God given physical skills that have college recruiters salivating.

"I have eight offers (Kansas State, Arkansas, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Georgia Tech, Vandy) now. My most recent one I got was from Colorado."

Where did Williams camp at this summer?

"I went to Arkansas and Ole Miss, and I visited some other colleges (Oklahoma State, Kansas State, MSU, and Georgia Tech) unofficially."

Anymore visits on tap?

"I think my next visits will be officially. I am trying to focus on my season right now."

And who would David like to take official visits with?

"Arkansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State and probably Ole Miss and Vandy. I am really not sure yet though."

Which colleges have shown D.J. the most love?

"The ones that have made me feel the most wanted are Kansas State, Arkansas, and Oklahoma State. But I hear from Vandy and Ole Miss a lot too. Really, I hear from all of the colleges who have offered me, but mostly from those three."

Any leaders?

"My top schools are Arkansas and Oklahoma State, but I am still open to all of the schools."

Two a days start on Monday and David has a few things he wants to take care of.

"Hopefully, I can help get us another state title. We have won it 2 out of the last 3 years. We won it all my freshman and sophomore years. We were runner ups my junior year. I just want another ring. All of the recruiting stuff will work itself out."
