Schaeffer is cleared!

Brent Schaeffer was admitted today into the University of Mississippi.

Brent is expected to arrive in Oxford around 1:00 am tonight. He will report with the rest of the team on Thursday and will participate in his first practice as a Rebel, along with the rest of the team, on Saturday.

Brent Schaeffer comes into Ole Miss as the #1 juco prospect in the country after amassing nearly 4, 000 yards of total offense and 42 TD's for the College of Sequoias.

Brent is considered a true dual threat as evident by his strong arm and sub 4.5 speed. He was named the 2005 California JUCO Offensive Player of the Year.

Schaeffer was just as dangerous coming out of high school. The 5 Star high school QB led Deerfield to the Class 6A semifinals and was chosen the top QB in the State of Florida by the Florida's Writers Association. During the '03 season, Brent totaled over 3, 000 yards of offense and 46 Td's for Deerfield High.

Brent signed with the University of Tennessee out of high school and became the Vol's first true freshman to start at QB. He broke his collarbone during the season and transferred to the College of Sequoias.

Brent will have three years to play two for the University of Mississippi.
