Will Rebs pull a trifecta in hoops?
Ole Miss landed their number one recruit, Zach Graham, and now they are entertaining two of his teammates this weekend for official visits.
(PG) Keegan Bell and (Wing) Jordan DeMercy, Zach's teammates from the Georgia Hurricane (AAU) squad, are currently in Oxford for their official visits.
Keegan is a 6' 2", 180 pound point guard out of Hazel Green (AL). He averaged 25 points and 11 assistsas a junior. Many state he is a "Steve Nash" clone. Bell is ranked by scout.com as the #23 point guard in the country by scout.com.
Keegan Bell has been offered by LSU (takes official visit to the Tigers 9/9), Vandy (9/16), Georgia (committed to Georgia in December but has since decommitted), Alabama, Auburn, and Georgia Tech
Jordan DeMercy is a 6' 7", 200 pound wing/small forward prospect out of Norcross (GA). He is rated by scout.com as a 3 Star prospect.
Jordan has been offered by George Mason (official visit for 9/23), FSU (official visit for 9/9), Vandy (official visit for 9/16), and Ole Miss.
DeMercy and Bell were both in for unofficial visits to Vandy last weekend, and will visit them on the same weekend (9/16), so the Dores are players for both recruit's services. But, our sources feel like Bell is leaning towards Ole Miss and LSU, while DeMercy is leaning towards Ole Miss and Vandy.
What we know for sure right now is that the Rebels have three slots to fill in the December signing period.
They wanted a PG, Wing (filled by Zach Graham), and a big man.
The point guard is basically down to two players. They are Keegan Bell and Maurice Miller out of Memphis.
"Mo", as he is called locally, is rated the #15 PG (4 Star) by scout.com and is leaning towards Georgia Tech and Ole Miss, although he holds several scholarships from schools like Oklahoma, Miami, Virginia, and Cinci.
Miller will take his official visit to Ole Miss next weekend.
Now that leaves the big man slot to fill.
They have several candidates out there, and we are not sure if DeMercy qualifies for a big man or not, but he has been offered by the Rebels.
We shall see how all of this plays out.
