Rebels looking at another Charleston product

Omar Love (DB, Hinds CC, MS) - Our #17 ranked player from the Mississippi junior college system is off to a fast start.

"I have over 500 yards (of offense) in our first two games," added Omar Love.

What makes Love so effective on the field?

"I am a leader on the field. I like to take control on the field and make the big plays to win the games."

Omar played WR to start the season last year but has since settled in at QB.

"I had an 80 yard pass against Pearl River CC, and I have pretty much stayed in there since. I had a 56 yards run against Cohoma CC and 69 yard run against East Central CC. I made some big plays."

Has Love set his personal goals for his last year on the juco level?

"My most important goal is to win the state championship at Hinds CC. I have a really good relationship with my coaches here. I want to try my best to get them another ring."

Which colleges are showing Omar the most attention?

"I have talked to Ole Miss several times, and I am getting a lot of letters from Iowa State and USM."

What is Ole Miss recruiting Love to play?

"Probably as an athlete. I little WR or CB or something."

Omar is hoping that the Rebels offer him a scholarship.

"I just like their program. It is close to home, and I like their indoor center. I just like their program and coaches up there. It is an SEC environment. I just like it. I have been wanting to go there. I also have a partner of mine going there next year. Me and Johnny (Brown) grew up down the street from each other."

Omar is expected to graduate in December.
