All is good with Alex Williams and Ole Miss

Alex Williams (OL, New Orleans, LA) - One of Ole Miss' key commits was in town for the Ole Miss/Georgia game.

"I got there Saturday and tailgated in the Grove with a few of my teammates and my coach," commented O.Perry Walker's Alex Williams. "People were coming up to me from everywhere telling me how glad they were to have me coming up there and they could not wait until I got there."

What all did Alex do during game day?

"I went into their lockeroom and toured their tranining room. Their facilities are all new and so nice up there. We also went to the walk of champions in the Grove. That gave me goose gumps. Everybody was chanting that cheer or theirs. I learned it before I left and probably yelled it a dozen times (laugh)."

What did Alex observe while watching the game?

"You can really tell that they are going to be contending real soon. They are just real young everywhere but I saw the talent out there. We are going to win some championships before I leave there. And you can tell everybody I said that too."

Does Alex believe he can make an immediate impact at Ole Miss?

"I think I can get some early playing time if I work hard during training camp. They do not have a lot of depth at offensive tackle, so I have a good chance."

Did this visit re-confirm his commitment to Ole Miss?

"I just can not wait to get up there. They have so many players from this area (New Orleans) on the team. I pretty much know everybody up there. It's already like family up there. I am definitely going to sign with Ole Miss."

When will Alex take his official visit to Ole Miss?

"I am going December 1 - 3."
