4 Star LB set to visit Ole Miss this weekend

Danorris Searcy (LB/S, Dectur, GA) - Scout.com's #9 nationally rated outside linebacker has moved up his Ole Miss visit from December 8 - 10 to this weekend.

"Coach Freeze left our house last night to go recruit (Fonterrian) Ingram," added Donald Searcy, Danorris Searcy's father.

"Right after he left, Coach Thigpen (UNC coach) called and said this weekend was not good for them. Danorris was scheduled to go to North Carolina this weekend, and Ole Miss next weekend, but they said Coach Davis has not gotten settled in. He has not even met their players yet. He has to go to some alumni meetings, and they are not going to host any prospects this weekend. I only have two weekends off of work this month to visit with my son. So I called Coach Freeze and told him about the North Carolina situation. Coach Freeze said that would be great. He told us to be here by 3:30 Friday, and our whole family is coming over there with Danorris. We really look forward to checking Ole Miss out. I have never met a coach like Coach Freeze. We are excited."

The Ole Miss assistant, Hugh Freeze, seems to have really hit it off with the Searcy family.

"My son and wife fell in love with Coach Freeze last night. He does not treat you any differently if you are black, white, green, or purple. He is just so warm and likable. I know if my son ends up at Ole Miss, he is going to be well taken care of."

Has Danorris rescheduled his North Carolina visit?

"No, to be honest, they do not know when he is going to visit. Coach Thigpen just told us to hang tight. He told us that Coach Davis has not even moved up there from Florida yet, but when he does, they will get back to us and get a visit lined up. They are just trying to get everything organized over there."
