Larry Dennis remains committed to Ole Miss

Larry Dennis (DL, Compton CC, CA) - The 6' 2", 265 pound defensive linemen had a chance to take in an official visit to UNLV over the weekend.

How did the trip go?

"The trip was pretty good. I got back in last night. It went alright," added Larry Dennis.

What did the 4 star prospect learn about UNLV during the visit that he might have not known from before?

"There is more to Vegas than just the strip. There is a lot to their commuinity. I did not know the campus was that big."

What impressed Larry the most about UNLV?

"Just the way they handle their academics. You have to try really hard to fail in that system. Their academic advisor is an ex football player, so he knows where we come from. They make sure you get your degree over there."

Has the UNLV visit changed Larry's commitment status with the University of Mississippi?

"I am still committed to Ole Miss, solidly. I was committed to Ole Miss before I went on that trip, and I am still committed. I visited UNLV because I had the trip already lined up before I committed to Ole Miss. They told me to just come over there and look around and see if they could influence me a little, but I am still 100% committed to Ole Miss. The other schools were just an option. Have I changed my mind? No, but the big decision will come on Wednesday."

Larry spoke with the his recruiter from Ole Miss last night after he got back in from the UNLV trip.

"Coach Neilson (from Ole Miss) called and wanted to check up on me and wanted to know if I was still set to sign on Wednesday."

And what did Larry say back?

"I told him I was still committed, and I was going to sign on Wednesday."

Dennis had 82 tackles and 11 sacks this season. He was named 1st Team All-Conference and was named Honorable Mention All-American for the second year in a row.
