Has Mark informed the Kentucky staff?
"Yes, I called them and gave them the news. They were pretty disappointed and wanted to know why I am going to Ole Miss."
And what did Jean-Louis say back?
"I told them that I just felt more comfortable with the Ole Miss coaches and players. Ole Miss is more of an up and coming program, and I think I fit in pretty good up there."
When will Mark sign his letter of intent tomorrow?
"Probably around noon (West Coast time). Coach O wanted me to sign at 7:01 am, but I am not a morning person (laugh). I will sign when ever I get up."
When the 6' 3", 330 pound guard arrives to Ole Miss; what will be his goals during Spring training?
"I want to get that left guard starting spot. I am going to hit the weight room during the break and get in the best shape I can possible get in."
Signing Day Tidbits
Ole Miss is expected to sign Mark along with 4 Star DE Larry Dennis and QB Jevan Snead in the early signing period.
**Jevan will not sign a national letter of intent but will sign a scholarship and will enroll in January.
Why will Jevan not sign a LOI?
Once a player has signed with a D1 program, they can not sign another LOI unless they go down a notch (juco, D11.etc..) and come back to the D1 level.
Therefore, Jevan will just sign a scholarship with Ole Miss and not a national letter of intent.
**S LaDerrick Vaughn is expected to sign in February and enroll in January.
** Larry Dennis is expected to sign in the early signing period but will most likely not sign in the next few days.
There are no problems, just a delay in his paperwork.
**We are going to wait on the official release from the university
instead of speculating when Mark Jean-Louis and Jevan Snead have signed, but we
do anticipate them signing tomorrow.
Mark Jean-Louis will have 4 to play 3, along with Jevan Snead. Vaughn will have 5 1/2 to play 4.
