Josh Chapman (DT, Hoover, AL) - The 6' 1", 280 pound defensive tackle committed to Auburn early in the recruiting process but that has not stopped Ole Miss from trying to change his mind.

"Coach Rippon comes to my house every week. He calls me every week. He sends me text messages every day. Coach is steadily working on me, I'll give him that," added Josh Chapman.

"I think I am going to stick with Auburn. That is where I am going."

"I told him that, but they said they were going to still recruit me anyway."

"No, those are the only two schools who call."

"I am going to Auburn in early January, but I have not set up the date. That will probably be the only visit I take."

What attracted Chapman to Auburn?

"They kind of fit me. I play nose guard, and the way I play, I fit their scheme really well."

Hoover lost to Prattville in the state championship game, but Josh still put upsome impressive numbers.

"I had 100 tackles, 22 for losses, 2 sacks, and 1 interception. I really got my techniques down this year, and I studied my opponents a lot more than I use to."

Chapman was named to the All-Metro and Supper 22 All-State team by the Birmingham News for his on the field play.

Chapman claims a 3.0 GPA / 17 ACT.
