Chris was Mississippi's only selection to the All-American squad. He helped South Panola to a #9 national ranking by USA Today and last year the Tigers came in at #11.
He finished his remarkable career at South Panola with 4 State Championships and ran up a 56-0 record during his time frame with the Tiger's program.

Chris was also recently named Mr. Football for the state of Mississippi by the Clarion Ledger. He is one of two Mississippians (Ole Miss recruit Cannon Smith is the other) selected to participate in the nation's most prestigious high school all-star event, the Army All-American game.Strong was Mississippi's only junior named to the 2005 Clarion Ledger 1st Team All-State squad. He was also the only Mississippian that was selected to the 2005 All-South Team by the Orlando Sentinel and Prep Star All-American as a junior.
Chris finished the 2006 campaign with 71 tackles, 5 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles.
The Rebels will also receive an official visit from USA Today 1st Team All-American selection, Joe McKnight, on January 12-14.
Chris marks Coach Ed Orgeron's 4th USA Today All-American as Michael Oher (1st Team), Jerrell Powe (1st Team), and Cordera Eason (2nd Team) were prior selections under Coach Orgeron's tenure.
