Rebs pick up official visit from Florida LB

Calvin Sutton (LB, Deland, FL) - The 2006 Daytona Beach News Journal's Defensive Player of the Year has scheduled three official visits this month.

"I am going to South Florida (1/12), Ole Miss (1/19), and Auburn (1/26). I am still talking with Miami too," added Calvin Sutton.

Which colleges have offered's #31 nationally ranked WLB a scholarship?

"Those three plus Auburn, Alabama, Nebraska, and Kentucky."

What stands out about each college?

South Florida - "It is close to home. The people on campus will make me feel at home so I do not get homesick. They are the only school I know much about."

Ole Miss
- "They play true freshmen. If you beat out the older man, they let you play. Plus, they are recruiting me the hardest. They have come by my house a couple of times and shown me their facilities."

Auburn - "I do not know too much about them, but I will learn a lot more about them when I take my visit."

Miami - "They are still in Florida. They have a good team, and their defense likes to play."

What will Calvin look for when he is trying to make a final decision?

"When I get up there on my visit, I want to see how the team reacts to me. Do they make me feel at home and make feel like I am needed, or am I out of place? I want to feel wanted where ever I go."

Sutton made 161 tackles for Deland High this Fall.

What improvements did he make from his junior campaign that saw him collect 116 tackles?

"I moved around a little more. I was more active this season."

Calvin claims a 2.7 GPA / 640 SAT.
