"I am 100% committed to MSU"

Marcus Green (Ath, Kemper County, MS) - Marcus committed to the MSU Bulldogs over the summer, but like most commitments, starting having some second thoughts.

Those thoughts looked to have been erased.

"Right now, I am still 100% committed to MSU, but I can not just tell you that USM is just totally out of the picture," added Marcus Green.

Marcus was once scheduled to take a visit with Ole Miss for January 12 - 14 but those plans have been canceled.

"I am not going on that visit anymore. There is already a lot of pressure on me. When you got to another school, you always see something you like and it makes it that much more confusing. I committed to MSU, so I am not going to take anymore visits."

Which colleges are staying contact with Marcus right now?

"Just MSU and USM. They both called me last Wednesday to wish me luck with my knee surgery."

What happened?

"I tore my meniscus in our playoff game against Lumberton. I played in 4 or 5 basketball games after the injury, and it got so bad to where I could not walk on it anymore, so I had surgery."

Does that end Marcus' high school basketball career?

"Probably, but I am not sure yet. I just going to wait and see how it heals and go from there."

Marcus was a 1st Team All-State selection and was named the Meridian Star Player of the Year."
