A&M commit set to visit Ole Miss this weekend

Vom Miller (LB, De Sota, TX) - Rebel fans had not heard much about Scout.com's #6 nationally rated linebacker until recently, but that does not mean Ole Miss is new on the scene with Miller's recruitment.

"Ole Miss was actually the first school to offer me," stated Von Miller. "Coach (Ryan) Nielsen has called me pretty much every week since last February. They have probably recruited me harder than anybody."

There are a couple more things that have impressed Von about Ole Miss.

"They have some slots open at linebacker, and I know they had the Butkus award winner there last year, and they are sending another LB high in the draft. That tells me they know how to coach up their LB's."

Is all of this good enough for Ole Miss to earn an official visit?

"Yes, I am going over there on Friday. It is so far away, so I have not heard much about their campus, but I look forward to seeing what it is all about. I really enjoy their staff, and hopefully the campus is clean and friendly down there."

While Miller is gong to visit Ole Miss this weekend, he remains committed to Texas A&M.

"There is a good chance I am going to still sign with Texas A&M, but I just want to take a couple of visits to make sure I am making the right decision."

Who else will Von visit?

"I am going to Texas A&M next weekend and Oklahoma after that."

What stands out about Oklahoma?

"I have not been to Oklahoma either.I had a few of their coaches come to my house before the dead period started. Coaches Stoops, Wilson and Venables and explained to me that they're losing six defensive ends. Other schools have told me I can play early, but I think Oklahoma has proven to me that I can play as a freshman."
