"When you are around people who are as excited about football as the people at Ole Miss, it can't help but excite you," said Tommy Walker, a 6-4, 270-pound lineman from Munford, TN, via Frazier HS. "That's what stuck out the most - the people and their enthusiasm for the game of football."
Walker said he and his Mother, Mary Henderson, thoroughly enjoyed their official visit over the weekend.
"Everything was like I hoped it would be. The people were very nice - it's a friendly school. It will be hard for anyone to top this. Ole Miss is at the top of my list," said Tommy, who visits Arkansas State next weekend and is still being recruited by Memphis, Mississippi State and Tennessee State. "I don't know how anyone can top this."
Walker, who said he will not make a decision until "early February," was hosted by frosh DL Cecil Frison.
"Cecil and I had fun. He's a good host and is fired up about the future of Ole Miss football," he said. "I was also impressed with the way the coaches teach football in our skull sessions. The coaches stood out on this visit with their enthusiasm and how excited they are."
Walker's meeting with Coach O this morning was also something Tommy shared.
"He said he would love to have me. He talked about winning championships and what it took to get there," Walker stated. "He said I could be a defensive end or an offensive guard or even an OT and that I was a player who could help him win titles.
"Coach O didn't try to pressure me at all. He didn't ask for a commitment, but he let me know the door was open."
