Henry ready to be a Rebel
"He just told me he hoped I had a good weekend and God Bless," added the always humble Paul Henry.
And there was also one more note in the text.
"They told me they could not wait for me to be a Rebel."
It looks like that is a two say street.
"I am having a hard time sleeping these days. I am excited about next Wednesday. I am ready to sign my papers and officially be an Ole Miss Rebel."
That is music to Ole Miss' ears as they are in need of impact OL. But first things first, Henry has some academic work left to achieve before he arrives on campus.
"My coach told me I needed a 19 on the (ACT) test. I am retaking it in February. I have been studying pretty hard for it."
Henry has helped N' Side's basketball team to a 15-4 overall and 6-1 conference record.
"I love basketball. I thought that was going to be my sport growing up, but I know I am about to have to give it up. It is going good for me this year. I am averaging 15 points and 12 rebounds a game. We are playing really good right now."
The 6' 7", 270 pounder's hoops schedule has prevented him from taking an official visit to Ole Miss, but he is not too concerned about that.
"I have been over there a few times before. I know pretty much about everything there is to know about their campus and facilities. I am just trying to help us get to the playoffs right now. I will be over there every day in a few months."
The 2006 Class 6A 1st Team All-State member was also named to the 1st Team All-South squad by the Orlando Sentinel.
