Juco All-American commits to Ole Miss

Tony Fein (LB, Scottsdale CC, AZ) - The 2006 Gridwire 1st Team All-American selection took an official visit to Ole Miss the weekend before last and knew he had found a home

"I just loved everything about it," added Tony Fein. "It is just different than any place I have ever been before. It gave you that Southern charm that you always hear people talk about. Now I know what they mean when they say Southern Hospitality."

There were also a few more factors that weighed on Ole Miss' side.

"I just like how much energy their staff has, and I have always wanted to compete against the best players, and the SEC is without a doubt the best conference with the best players in the country. I also like the fact that I can have a chance to replace Patrick Willis. They are big shoes to fill, but I am up to the task."

Has the 4 Star LB informed Michigan State about his decision?

"Yes, that is one of the reasons I waited. I wanted to let all of the parties know about my decision to sign with Ole Miss. Michigan State is a great school, and so is Louisville. I appreciate how nice everybody has been to me, and I am going to be pulling for them from here on out, just not when we play them."

Tony collected 136 tackles and 4 interceptions this past season and was named 1st Team All-American (Gridwire) and Defensive Player of the Year for the Western State Football League.
