Can Rebs keep the Kosciusko pipeline going?

John Paul Alford (OC, Kosciusko, MS) - One of Mississippi's top offensive line prospects had a chance to tour two SEC schools over the past couple of weeks.

"I went to Ole Miss' Jr day with Ath Kendrick Presley and QB Allen Johnson from Leake Academy," added John Paul Alford. "I also went to Alabama with Kendrick this past Friday."

How did the Ole Miss Jr Day experience go?

"I really enjoyed it. They have really nice facilities, and I really like their coaches. They are also working towards a championship, and that is what I am looking forward to, winning a championship."

What stood out the most about Ole Miss?

"Their facilities. They have top notch facilities at Ole Miss."

The Ole Miss staff has also made an impression.

"I like my recruiting coordinator, Coach Hughes. He is a stand up guy, a strong Christian man. I also like Coach Orgeron and their offensive line coach, Coach Kehoe. They have a good staff up there."

What did the Ole Miss coaches tell Alford during Jr Day?

"I talked to Coach Hughes the night before Jr Day. He said they would be real slow in offering offensive linemen this year. They told me to come to camp and we would go from there. I will be trying to make a big impression at their camp."

How did the Alabama visit go?

"I really liked it. I liked their coaches there as well. They also have really nice facilities. I like my recruiting coordinator, Coach Davis. I like Coach Saban a lot too. They also want me to come to their camp to get a better look at me. They said they are worried about my height. They measured me at 6 2 1/2", 260. I have been playing baseball, so they have knocked off around 15 to 20 pounds on me. But they said they were not worried about my weight because they can put that on me, only my height."

Where will John Paul visit next?

"I am not real sure. I am going to try and make it to MSU for one of their practices. That's all I have planned as of right now."

Anybody else showing interest?

"Tulane has been sending me a lot more letters as of late, but that is it so far."
