Mississippi Top 15: Part II

The state of Mississippi annually produces some of the top college football prospects and the Class of 2003 is no exception. The Ole Miss Insider takes a look at the Top 15 prospects in a three-part series. Each part will profile five prospects and what follows is the second installment:

OL Donovan Davis (6-4.5/326) Callaway High School- Jackson

Davis is another highly recruited offensive line prospect who has scholarship offers from every program in the Southeastern Conference and other high-profile programs such as Florida State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Penn State. He attended summer football camps at Jackson State, Louisiana State, Mississippi State, and Southern Miss.

LB Ken Griffith (6-2/245) Brandon High School- Brandon

Griffith committed to the Mississippi State Bulldogs very early in the recruiting process. He could project as a linebacker, defensive end or possibly even defensive tackle at some point in his college career. Griffith also plays basketball and he attended summer football camp at Mississippi State.

DE Quinton Groves (6-3.5/227) Greenville High School- Greenville

Groves has garnered scholarship offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisville, Marshall, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and South Carolina. He has an impressive combination of size and speed. Groves also competes in basketball and track. He attended football camp at Georgia.

DL Devrick Hampton (6-2/270) Greenville High School- Greenville

Hampton claims offers from Alabama, Auburn, Boston College, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Louisiana State, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Southern Miss, Tennessee, Texas, and West Virginia. He will most likely project as a defensive tackle on the college level. Hampton attended football camp at Louisiana State.

TE/DE Robert Hough (6-4/200) Provine High School- Jackson

Hough is the brother of a current Ole Miss player, Charlie Anderson. Ole Miss has offered and the Rebels are the strong leader for Hough's signature. He could project as a defensive or tight end on the college level. Hough also competes in basketball and track. He attended summer football camp at Mississippi State.
