Rebels offer Texas LB

Alfred Dupree (LB, Dallas, TX) - Ole Miss will look to dip more into the state of Texas more this year.

In January, they received a transfer from Jevan Snead, who lettered at the University of Texas last season at QB.

Now they have their eyes set on several of the Lone Star's top prospects including Skyline's Alfred Dupree.

"Ole Miss offered me like two weeks ago," commented Dupree. "They pretty much write me every day and text me every Monday. They have been on me pretty hard."

The Rebels will have a fight on their hands if they hope to land the 6' 2", 220 linebacker prospect.

"I also have offers from Wisconsin, Alabama, Minnesota, Kansas State, Purdue, Baylor, and Oklahoma gave me a verbal."

Who are the main colleges that are involved with Dupree's recruitment?

"The main colleges who are recruiting me are Minnesota, Kansas State, Alabama, Oklahoma, Purdue, Baylor, Ole Miss, Texas, and Notre Dame is sending me a lot of letters as of late."

Which colleges have been the most consistent with their recruitment of Alfred?

"Probably Minnesota and Alabama and then Wisconsin. I get a text from those three almost every day."

Two colleges look to have caught Dupree's eye so far.

"Oklahoma because I have been liking them for a while, and I have been watching them play on TV since I was a little kid. I like (Texas) A&M because I went to their Jr Day and really liked their facilities, workout room, and stuff like that. I am going to do some more looking around and see who is graduating who, but those two really stand out so far."

Alfred played an injury riddled junior season as he only participated in 2 district games due to a displaced shoulder.
