Memphis LB receives first offer from Rebels

Jordan Yarbrough (LB, Memphis, TN) - Last season White Station had two linebackers sign with D1 programs.

Chris Marve inked with Vandy, and Brandon Boykin signed with Furman.

The third wheel to their starting linebacker core was their inside man, Jordan Yarbrough.

The 6' 0", 225 pounder totaled 78 tackles, 7 sacks, and also had 25 carries for 250 yards and 4 TD's during the playoffs at fullback."

What would Jordan rate his play as a junior?

"I would give myself a C. Chris Marve, Brandon Boykins, and myself, we felt like if any player came to one of us, the tackle was made. We only lost two games last year, but hopefully we will make it to the state championship game this year."

What are Jordan's strengths on the field?

"I have the power and strength to fight off blocks and get to the tackle."

And weaknesses?

"I need to get my speed down from a 4.7 to a 4.5. I also want to get my GPA higher (carries a 2.4 GPA)."

Who are the main colleges involved with Jordan's recruitment?

"I talk to Memphis and Ole Miss a lot. I get a lot of mail from MSU, MTSU, Auburn, Colorado, and Alabama. They wanted me to come to their Jr Day. I will probably go to Auburn and LSU for their Jr Days."

Has Yarbrough had a chance to take in any Jr Days?

"I was suppose to go to MSU this weekend, but I had a track meet."

What has Jordan interested in MSU?

"The only thing I want to do is go to school and get an education and play football. In the process, I want to see how far I can go."

Why MSU?

"Because they sent me a media guide, and I saw they had nice facilities, and I wanted to check out their staff and players."

Auburn?

"Their colors are nice. They have a nice school, and they have a good football program. Hopefully they can use me. I do not know. I am going to go to some combines and see what I can do."

Which combines will Jordan take in?

"I am going to the Scout.com combine in New Orleans on April 21st and the Memphis combine because it is local."

What does Jordan like about Ole Miss?

"I think they are a nice school, and they are my only offer. Ole Miss is a nice program. That could be a good place to go to school."

What about Memphis?

"It is close to home. Why not go to a school where you grew up? You would never have to leave your hometown. I like Coach West too."

LSU?

"Because they are a big SEC team. If I want to do that, why not LSU? They have been doing good a long time. If I can play there, I can play anywhere."
