"I played football when I was younger, but I broke my leg, and my parents did not want me playing football again," added Brandon Sanders. "But I always excelled in football, and it felt natural to me, so I talked my parents into letting me try it again, and we end up winning the state championship. It turned out to be a pretty good decision because now I am going to college to play football."
What makes Sanders a college
"My size and being very physical and being able to
get off the blocks in the run game. I am a good cover corner too, but being physical
and getting off of my blocks is what I do best."
The 5' 11",
194 pound athlete is hearing from several colleges.
"Marshall, Ole Miss, USM, Auburn, and I just got an offer from Ole Miss on Friday. Louisville,
and a lot more are recruiting me pretty hard. But Marshall , Ole Miss, and USM
are recruiting me the hardest."
What does Brandon know about the Rebels?
was kind of random. They came by my school on Friday. I had gotten a lot of letters
from them, but they were not one of the top schools. Then Coach Freeze called
me on Friday and told me I had an offer. I did not know a lot about Ole Miss,
but I plan on visiting them this summer for a football camp. I really figured
it would be Marshall who offered me first. I went on a visit there last weekend.
They will be here to see me play next week."
What did Sanders like
"I really liked their staff, especially coach Paul Nichols, the defensive back coach. He made me feel welcomed. I like how they run
things. It is real family oriented. The coaches treat their players like they
are their son. That made me feel real welcomed."
do not know much about Southern, but I am going to go to a camp of their too.
They are recruiting me real hard. That is all I know."
