A perfect "10" for Kermit Tyler

Kermit Tyler (OG, Marrero, LA) - The L.W. Higgens product had a chance to take in the Ole Miss 3 Day camp.

"The camp went great for me and my brother, Ashton. I had a good time up there. They showed me and my family around. We liked the atmosphere up there."

The 6' 4", 325 offensive lineman had never visited Ole Miss before. What new did he learn about the Rebs?

"I already knew a lot about Ole Miss. This trip was all about getting to know all of the coaches. That was the most important thing to me. I got to meet my OL coach, Art Kehoe. He is the best in the business. Now I see why everyone is so high on him. He is a great/great coach. I can not wait to start competing with him."

What did Kermit learn about the rest of the coaches on the Ole Miss staff?

"They are all great people, and they demand a lot from their players, academically and athletically. It is not all about football at Ole Miss. You go there to graduate first, and then you take care of football."

What was the highlight of the trip?

"The practices. The one on ones. Just being able to show what I can do. I wanted to show Ole Miss I was the best offensive lineman on their board. I think I made them believers. I have never been through an Ole Miss camp before. Each day it got better and better. It was great."

Did this visit solidify Tyler's commitment to Ole Miss?

"Yes. The three days I was up there, just getting to talk to the coaches personally. It made me feel better about my commitment. I really/really can not wait to get up there. There is no doubt where I am going."

Despite Kermit's solid commitment that has not stopped competing schools from trying to change his mind.

"Alabama has been calling a lot. They asked me if I feel strong about Ole Miss, and I said yes I do. They told me that if I ever changed my mind, they were going to be there for me. Coach said they were going to stay with me all the way until the end."
