Josh Jordan happy with performance at OM camp

Josh Jordan (QB/Ath, St. Amant, LA) - Josh attended the combine in New Orleans last month and put up some eye popping numbers. He measured in at 6' 4 1/2", 205, and ran a 4.61 forty yard dash and a camp best 3.97 shuttle.

Some were whispering that maybe this who is built like a tall rangy athlete should be giving a skilled position a try instead of QB.

"It really depends on who is recruiting me," added Josh Jordan. I can play any skilled position. I will play WR, but I love QB. But I will play anywhere. I am very versatile."

Jordan has had a chance to showcase his skills at several different colleges this month.

"I went to the 7 on 7 tournament at LSU the other day. I talk to their coach over there, and they are recruiting me a little bit. Pretty much, they are all recruiting me as a QB. La Tech told me QB, and Memphis said they wanted me as a QB. Ole Miss told me at their camp that they were going to be watching me this summer. I think they like me for QB, but they have not said either way. I think they know I can play another position just as well. I kind of compare myself to Matt   Jones that played for Arkansas. We are both tall, can really run, and neither of us have the best throwing mechanics. But what we both do is make big plays and put points on the board, a lot of them. I hope somebody will give me a chance to stay at QB, but I am willing to play any position they want me to."

Josh talks about his experiences at the various football camps he has attended this summer.

"I got to talk with Coach Orgeron at Ole Miss a lot. I like him a lot. I thought I did pretty well. I showed him I could throw the ball. I run a good shuttle, 4.1. ULM I threw the ball really well. They had already offered me a scholarship. I ran a 4.63 forty there. At LSU, we did really well in the 7 on 7 tournament. I threw a bunch of TD's and only threw one pick in four games. We did very good up there. I think they were really impressed with my performance."

Last season Josh transferred from Denham Springs to St. Amant.

"I only started 6 games. I did not get over until the last day of practice and they already had a starter. It took me a while to learn everything, but I think I had a pretty good year. I threw for 1, 350 yards and 11 Td's in the last 6 games."

Who are the main colleges involved in Josh's recruitment?

"Memphis, Ole Miss, LSU, La Tech, and ULM."
