Rebels still in the game for 4 star juco LB?

Kion Wilson (LB, Pearl River CC, FL) - Mississippi's top juco linebacker prospect has been a busy man this summer.

"I am taking 13 hours, working, and staying in shape. It has been a busy summer, real busy," added a tired Kion Wilson, who was taking a break from his study duties. "I actually have a huge test tomorrow morning. I should be fine though."

If everything goes as planned this summer; will Kion be on track to graduate in December.

"Yes sir, I will get out in December with 3 1/2 years to play 2."

That in itself should make Wilson even more attractive for the college recruiters. It was not like they did not notice him as a freshman when he finished second, nationally, in solo tackles with 118.

"I have gotten a few new offers. South Florida offered me this summer. Miami, Ole Miss, and Central Florida have offered me too."

Who is coming after Kion the hardest?

"South Florida. They are in constant contact. I talk to Miami often, and I talk to Ole Miss every Monday, but most of my contact is with South Florida."

The 6' 0", 230 pound linebacker has also begun to hear from another Sunshine program.

"FSU has been calling some. They came down last year to watch another player from here, and we have been talking ever since. It would not surprise me if they offered me pretty soon."

Where does each school stand?

"Miami is still my leader. I was born and raised in Miami, so my family can come and watch me play every Saturday without it being an inconvenience for them. That is the big thing. I like South Florida. I am going to give them a look. Ole Miss. To be honest, I am trying to not go to a losing program. I understand what they are trying to do, but I want to continue the winning tradition. Playing in Mississippi is probably not going to be for me. But I have not ruled anybody out yet."

Has Kion told the Ole Miss staff about his concerns?

"No, I actually have not. I do not want to disrespect their program. I really like their staff a lot. I would hate to do anything like that."

Why has Wilson not committed to Miami yet due to all of the home town connections?

"I want to experience new experiences, and I have done everything there is to do in Miami. I want to try something new, but I will just have to wait and see."
