Player of the Week: Seth Smith

For the second straight week, Seth Smith is the Player of the Week. The Colorado Springs outfielder has hit .517 since July 12 with two home runs, five doubles and eight RBI. Smith has raised his average 35 points in the last 15 days and is now carrying an eight-game hitting streak. He was named the Pacific Coast League Player of the Week on July 9.

On the shelf:

David Dellucci has been placed on the 60-day disabled list, and Garrett White is on the 7-day DL. Barry Gunther and Brian Pettway remain inactive due to injury.

Movin' on up:

Chris Coghlan was promoted to High-A Jupiter on July 11 and recorded his first hit on July 13.
