"I had fun," commented Charles Mitchell. "I learned a lot of stuff. I thought I was one of the better defensive backs at the camp."
Did he see any fellow Mississippians at the LSU camp?
"I saw DeAndre Brown on Tuesday. We pretty much went up against each other all day. There was also some fullback from Moss Point there, but I did not get his name."
What new did Charles learn about the Tigers during the camp?
"I already knew they had good coaches, but I learned how they play their defensive backs. I also learned some new techniques."
What stood out the most about LSU during the trip?
"All of the stuff I learned from my position coach, and how I got better everyday."
Mitchell headed to the LSU camp with an offer in sight. Did he receive one?
"No, not at the camp. I spoke to their defensive coordinator, and he told me he wanted to talk to me before I left the camp, but I never found him. I spoke with Coach Raymond and he told me they are going to keep in touch with me."
Was Charles disappointed that an offer was not extended?
"Yea, I am not going to lie. I was very disappointed. It kind of caught me off guard. I really thought I would get one."
Will the Dandy Dozen selection attend anymore camps?
"No, that was it. I went up to Ole Miss for a couple of
camps and went down to LSU. I wish I could have gone to some more, but that is
all I am going to be able to take this summer."
Which colleges are now at the top of Charles' pecking order?
"LSU, Ole Miss, Alabama, and Mississippi State."
