Tillmans will be in Oxford on Saturday

Josh and Bo Tillman are expected to attend the Ole Miss/Missouri game on Saturday. They will also bring with them a third cousin who Ole Miss recently offered. To learn more about the visit, read below.

The Tillman shelped Franklin County to the State Championship last season and both earned 1st Team All-State (Class 3A) and 1st Team All-District for their play on the field.

What will Josh Tillman do for an encore?

"I am just trying to leave here with another championship," added Josh Tillman. "We had a good start to the season. We shut out Hazlehurst 29-0 Saturday."

How did Josh Tillman perform?

"I had a good performance. I finished with 6 tackles, 2 forced fumbles, and 2 sacks. I would have had a little more, but I cramped up and sat out a few minutes."

The 6' 5", 250 pound Josh Tillman and the 6' 7", 300 pound Bo Tillman are playing on both sides of the ball this year due to the graduation of several of Franklin County's key offensive players from last year's squad.

"We lost a lot last year so me and Bo Tillman are playing different positions. I am playing WR/TE on offense and DE/DT on defense. Bo plays TE a lot, but he played OT/DT against Hazlehurst. I played DE and WR."

How would Tillman rate his play?

"I would give me a B or an A on defense, and on offense, I would not give myself that good of a grade because I had two passes thrown my way and I did not come up with the big play."

Tillman received early scholarship offers from the three state universities in Mississippi before committing to the Rebels, and it looks like that list has grown to four.

"Auburn gave me a written offer late this summer, and then they emailed me to let me know how badly they wanted me to come play for them. I told them that I am still 100 percent committed to Ole Miss, but they said they were still going to come after me."

Saturday was the first day the colleges could start calling again, and Josh received two phone calls on that day.

"Auburn and Ole Miss called. Auburn wants me to come down to one of their games, and they told me again how badly they wanted me. They offered my cousins too, Jamie Collins (Ath/JR) and Bo (Tillman). Ole Miss offered Jamie too. Auburn just wants us to all come over to as many games as we can."

Does Josh have any games on tap this fall?

"Me, Bo, and Jamie are going up to Ole Miss this weekend with my Aunt."

In the meantime, Josh is getting ready for a huge Rivalry game.

"We play McComb on Friday. That is going to be a huge game for both of us. They are saying there could be a record crowd there for the game.
