How did it go?
"I really liked it," added Aaron Barrett. "I had strong feelings towards the school before I went on the visit. They made me feel at home. Lance Lynn was my host. He is from Indiana too. He showed me the ropes. I felt at home. It was a really nice visit."
Did anyone accompany Aaron on his visit?
"My parents came with me. They were there last Spring when my brother's team (Evansville) played at Ole Miss. They love the place. My grandfather is from Oxford, so my mother is real familiar with Ole Miss."
What new did Barrett learn about the Rebels during his official visit?
"I knew that the people and community were really into baseball, and that they had great attendance, but I never really knew how important baseball is to Ole Miss and how focused that college is to winning. I also did not know that their people treated you like you were already a part of the family. It is like they knew you when you were growing up or something. That just gives you that warm feeling."
What are the expectations from Ole Miss in Aaron?
"They expect me as a juco pitcher to come in and make a big impact on their team next year and take Cody's (Satterwhite) and Lance's (Lynn) place when they leave and be a weekend starter."
Where do the Rebels now stand?
"They are now at the top of my list."
Aaron has now taken official visits to Kentucky, Louisville, and Ole Miss; will he take anymore?
"Miami wants me to fly in soon, but I am not sure yet. As time rolls on, I will figure it all out."
