Oxford receiver waiting on new hire

Horatio Williams (WR, Oxford, MS) - The Oxford High athlete wasn't expecting a coaching change to take place and is now taking a wait and see approach before making any further decision.

"It all depends on who they bring in," added Horatio Williams said. "I am looking for a coach to come in that is going to throw the ball. With Jevan (Snead) next year, that is what I hope for."

Williams was reached by the coaching staff right after the announcement.

"Coach Freeze called and told me that everything was going to be ok, to just hang in there."

Horatio reflects back on his thoughts when he heard about the news.

"I really thought he was going to stay. I guess they just didn't want him. It's tough."

The 6' 2", 180 pound defending state champion in the 200 meter event, who also placed 2nd in the 100 meter run, finished the season with 39 catches for 788 yards and 6 TD's
