Kendrick Presley receives a couple visitors

Kendrick Presley (Ath, Kosciusko, MS) - Sometimes you do not know how valuable you are to your team until you are injured, and when "K.P." went out with a dislocated toe for four games, they lost three of those contest.

Presley rebounded from that injury and led the Whippets to the Class 4A North Half Championship game.

"It felt good to come back and help my team get back on the right track," added Kendrick Presley. "I just wish I could have gotten us to Jackson, but we still gave it our all."

Kendrick still has one more high school game to play before he moves on to the next level.

"I was selected to the MS/AL all-star game. That was a big honor. I am glad they picked me to play. I just want to go out there and play to my potential."

Presley received some disappointing news recently.

"I spoke to Coach Hughes last week sometime, but I have not heard from him since Coach Orgeron got fired. It was sad seeing them get let go, but I guess they had to do it."

Will this change Presley's attitude towards Ole Miss?

"It does not change the way I feel about Ole Miss. I just like the atmosphere up there and everything. I just want to take an official visit so I can get familiar with Coach Nutt and his assistants."

Two more colleges have come by Presley's school to talk to him.

La Tech came by and spoke to me about coming in for an official visit. I told him I was going to talk it over with my parents and see if I want to come in. Coach Wommack for USM came down the day before he got fired. He just wanted to let me know that they wanted me."
