Dallas Thomas sets up first two visits

Dallas Thomas (OT, Baton Rouge, LA) - The 6' 6", 280 pound left offensive tackle succeeded in not allowing a sack for the second year in a row.

Now Dallas is trying to conquer where he will take his talents to next.

"I am still pretty wide open," added Dallas Thomas. "It is still the same schools, Tennessee, Ole Miss, you know, the same ones."

Any official visits set up for Scout.com's #28 nationally rated offensive tackle?

"I am going to Ole Miss with some of my boys, Brandon Bolden and Prentiss Waggner on January 18th and Tennessee on January 25th. Those are the only two I have set up visits with."

The Rebels changed coaching staffs recently, but Thomas still has an open mind.

"I was kind of upset at first when they got rid of Coaches Frank (Wilson) and Orgeron. I was really close to both of them. But I know it is a business. I went over there for Jr Day last spring, and then I went to their camp this past summer and came over for a football game in the Fall. It is really nice up there. The new coaches came by the school before the dead period. Coach Kim (Dameron) recruited us when he was at ULM so I am some what familiar with him. But I know a lot about Coach Nutt, and I know that he is a winner and their offense is really exciting to watch. They like to spread you out and move the ball. I always enjoyed watching Arkansas play on TV."

The Vols have also stayed in the picture since day one.

"I like it up at Tennessee. I went to Tennessee's camp last summer and that is when I really started get interested in the Vols. Tennessee thinks I have a good chance to start as a freshman if I go there. It is a good school, and they send a lot of linemen to the pros."

Anymore schools in the running to receive an official visit?

"Yea, Alabama, Florida State, pretty much the same schools. We will see."
