Todd Berry in OC hunt?

Ole Miss Coach Houston Nutt is still searching for an offensive coordinator. Currently, there is no leader in the hunt, but he may have added another name to the list - former Army Head Coach Todd Berry, currently the OC at UNLV.

True to his word, Ole Miss Coach Houston Nutt is taking his time to get the right guy for offensive coordinator.

His list of potential candidates may have expanded by one this weekend with the addition of Todd Berry, the OC at UNLV and former head coach at both Army and Illinois State, it was learned this morning.

Berry and Nutt got to know each other when Berry was a GA at Oklahoma State in 1985. Nutt also coached there in the Jimmy Johnson coaching "bloodline."

Houston has already formally interviewed Hugh Freeze, who was the wide receivers coach on Ed Orgeron's Rebel staff; Kent Austin, the current head coach of the Grey Cup Champion Saskatchewan Roughriders; and veteran SEC coach Sparky Woods (yesterday).

It is expected he will continue the search with interviews of Berry; Dave Rader, another veteran of SEC battles; and Les Koening, who was the offensive coordinator at Texas A&M last season. Former Miami head Coach Larry Coker could also be in the mix.

Berry has an extensive background in different offenses, but he ran the spread at UNLV last season.
