Rebels bringing in QB Nathan Stanley

Nathan Stanley (QB, Tahlequah, OK) - The 6' 5", 205 pound signal caller out of Sequoyah high school has been a busy man as of late.

"I took two visits this week," added Nathan Stanley. "I actually just got back from a midweek visit from Florida Atlantic, and I went to Maryland this past weekend."

Where next?

"I am going to Ole Miss this weekend."

How did the Florida Atlantic visit go?

"I had a good time. Coach Howard Schnellenberger has a lot of history. They offered me, and they have a good team coming up. They are also building a brand new stadium. It should be pretty nice."

And Maryland?

"It was another real good visit. Coach Franklin left Kansas State and is now the offensive coordinator at Maryland. We have a lot of history, as he recruited me at Kansas State the past few years. They also offered me a full scholarship. I also like the head coach at Maryland, Coach Friedgen, a lot. He is a funny guy. I like what he is doing with his program."

Nathan was scheduled to visit Kansas State, the thought to be leaders, this past weekend.

"I didn't make it."

Will it be rescheduled?

"No, I do not think so."

Does that mean that KSU is now out of the picture?

"No, not at all."

What is going on with Ole Miss?

"Well, I really like Coach Nutt. I have been going to his camps for the past three years. We have grown pretty close, and now he has moved on to Ole Miss, so I want to go down there and see what it is like. They seem really interested in me."

What will Nathan look for while he is on his visit to Ole Miss?

"I just want to look at their depth chart and see how I well I fit into their team and how comfortable I am up there. I know how I fit in with that staff. I am hoping everything else is as good as their staff because I really like those guys."

Who is coming after Stanley the hardest?

"Florida Atlantic seems pretty eager to get me there. They want me a lot, but the rest of the schools seem eager to get me there too."

Nathan was recently given the QB of the Year award at the Offense/Defense All-American game.

"It was a great honor to be named the top QB. It was just a great overall experience to play with so many great players and coaches."

Nathan had over 3, 000 yards of offense and 44 TD's as a senior while being named Oklahoma's top QB for all-classifications.
