"I am done
with my visits. I was suppose go to either Alabama or USM last weekend, but I
decided to stay home," added Dallas Thomas. "I have narrowed it down
to two schools. It will be either Ole Miss or Tennessee."
Thomas got back in from his official visit at Ole Miss the weekend before last. Anything new he learn?
"I learned that they have a new Fed Ex academic center
for their player. I had been up there a few times before this year, but this gave
me a chance to meet their new staff. I really liked those guys, especially Coaches
Markuson and Nutt."
Dallas was already familiar with his player host.
"Rishaw Johnson and I went to school together at Southern Lab. I know a lot of those guys on that team. A lot of them are from over here (Louisiana) because their old staff was from Louisiana. I am cool with a lot of those guys."
What stood out the most about Ole Miss during his official visit?
"Just how easy it is to communicate with their coaches. I feel real comfortable with the Ole Miss staff."
What stood out the most about Tennessee during his official visit with the Vols?
"I liked their facilities."
What will Thomas focus on when it comes decision time?
rate. Both schools are right at each other. They are pretty even."
Then what next?
"The living facilities. Tennessee has a really nice living facility for their players. Ole Miss is ready to build a new one. They are sending some pictures to me. I like the one at Tennessee."
"Just how comfortable I am with the coaches. Like I said, I feel like I can really communicate with the coaches at Ole Miss, but it is not like I can't with the Tennessee coaches, because I can, but there is just something about the Ole Miss coaches."
Is Thomas leaning in any one direction right now?
"No sir. I really have no clue right now. I am just going to sit down with my mother over the weekend and go over the pluses and minuses."
It should also be noted that Dallas has teammates that are going to both Ole Miss (Brandon Bolden) and Tennessee (Herman Leathers).
"Both of them are my boys, so that is not going to be a factor one way or the other. I know at either school, I will have one of my good friends with me. That is comforting to know."
