Rebels offer Alabama WR

The Mobile (AL) native had one of the better seasons last year in the state of Alabama as he collected 33 catches for 517 yards and 12 TD's.

"I feel like I can find the open holes," added Mujahid Assad. "And when I find that hole, I can leave the defender because of my speed. I also run good routes."

There are still a few things Assad would like to work on.

"I need to work on my blocking and coming across the middle. That is what I need to work on the most."

Has the 6' 1", 185 pound Lillie B Williamson product taken any visits this Spring?

"I went over to Auburn's Jr Day."

How did it go?

"It was nice. I liked it. We went over there and watched them practice. I liked the new spread offense they are running. That is what stood out the most."

Where else would Mujahid like to visit?

"I was suppose to go over to Ole Miss' Jr Day but something came up at the last minute. I want to also see LSU, Louisville, and I like Purdue too, but I do not think I am going to have the chance to check them out. I like them a lot though."

Any scholarship offers?

"I got a couple recently from Ole Miss and Mississippi State. But that is it so far."

What does Assad know about the two Mississippi schools?

"Not too much. I talk to the WR coach at Ole Miss a lot. They just try and keep in touch. I have not talked to MSU yet. They just sent their offer in the mail to me."

Where will the Mobile native camp at this summer?

"I will probably go to 5 or 6 of them, but I do not know where I am going yet."

When it does come decision time; what will be the main factors?

"Probably the academics. I want to get my degree in something. I just do not know yet. I will put the school first though. Football will take care of itself."
