OM hoops signee moves to 4 star ranking

The 6' 5", 200 pound guard out of Craigmont (TN) has been attending the Ole Miss Elite camp for the past three summers, so we had a pretty good idea of the talents that he brought to the table.

But for some unknown reason, the rest of the country is just now figuring it out.

"Out of all of the players Ole Miss is bringing in next year, and there are some very talented ones in Coach Kennedy's class, I really see Terrico White making the biggest impact next year," added's national basketball recruiting analyst, Dave Telop. "He has a really smooth jumper, can really take it to the rack, and has the athleticism to create his own shot."

In fact, moved Terrico from a 1 star to a 3 star when he was inked by the Rebels, to now a 4 star and a Top 100 national ranking.

As our friend Dave Telop stated, Terrico has the ability to create his own shot, which is critical in the SEC, as we have seen many great shooters that simply can not get off their own shot without a pick or a screen from his teammates. This sometimes can stall the offense if not run to perfection or if you do not have a low post game.

Another trait White has that is uncanny is his shooting technique. You will not see a smoother shot by a freshman entering the SEC next year, period. We would even go as far to say that he has the best technically sound shot that we have seen enter the Rebel program in the last 25 years.

When you watch his highlights below, the camera distance makes it a little hard to get a good close view of his shot, but it is as pretty as Michael Jordan flying through the air.

And speaking of flying, another aspect of White's game that stands out is his jumping ability. As Coach Kennedy said at the end of the season, "we need more players who can play above the rim."

No problem, as there is not a more explosive player who takes it to the rack the 3 Time Mr. Basketball Finalist from the State of Tennessee.

The 3 time 1st Team All-State selection averaged 22 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals a game as a junior, and this season he took it up another notch as he came in with a 27.1 pts, 7.6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3.5 steals a game clip.

White is expected to report to Ole Miss' campus in June.
