Pat helps Noxubee County win OM Passing Camp

The 6' 2", 208 pound rising senior saw his team get to the Class 4A State Championship game last season but Noxubee County fell a little short to Laurel.

This year, they are looking to take it one step further. If Thursday's performance at the Ole Miss passing camp is any indication, the Tigers have taken the right steps.

"We won the Passing tournament at Ole Miss," stated Pat Patterson. "We beat Kirby (TN) to win it all."

This has only strengthen the team's confidence.

"Yea, we have a lot of confidence now. This gives us the confidence that we can get back to the State Championship."

How did the day go for's #36 nationally rated WR?

"It was a good camp for me. It was a real good camp. We played against a lot of good teams, and I faced a lot of different defenses. I learned how to attack a zone defense. You just run through the open spots."

What did this camp tell Patterson about himself?

I learned that I have good footwork. I found that out about myself."

The Rebels have pegged Pat as a priority, and they took the time they had with the Noxubee County standout to help sell their program.

"Coach Derrick Nix and I had a good talk. He wanted to show me around their facilities and make me feel at home. It was good getting to see those guys face to face. I have been up there before, but I had never just toured their facilities. They are very nice. I like their coaches too."

Where will Pat camp at next?

"I am going to Alabama Saturday and then I am going to USM. I am done camping after USM's."

Patterson holds offers from LSU, Arkansas, Auburn, Ole Miss, MSU, and USM but two schools seem to be recruiting Pat the hardest.

"LSU and MSU have been writing me a lot. I like LSU because they send a lot of WR's to the NFL, and I like MSU because they are very competitive. Those two are probably my top schools right now."

Patterson reports a 16 on his ACT and is unsure of his GPA.
