**First, CB Darius Winston's Uncle and coach told me tonight that the visit was going "great" and they would be leaving late afternoon tomorrow.
I had a chance to observe the recruits during the game and Darius Winston was very intuned with what was going on during the game. He was also seen in the Grove having a big time tailgating before the game.
We keep hearing good things from our West Helena source about Ole Miss'chance to land Darius. He announces his decision between Arkansas and Ole Miss on September 5th. It will be interesting to see what he has to say about the visit when he leaves campus.
**As we reported last night, the rest of Darius' teammates were also at the game.
Did I mention that Smiley is a beast on the hoof?
This is Chad's fifth straight weekend to spend in Oxford and Justin has now been in Oxford three out of the last five weekends.
**DB Dennis Thames, as we reported earlier today, had a deep thigh bruise in Friday's game and was getting it looked today. All signs point towards a speedy recovery.
**OL Jonathan Henderson was the game with a teammate of his.
**Hot List member OL, Heath Blount (N' East CC) , was a very impressive looking player on the hoof. He is all of the 6' 6", 295 listing we have for him.
**Heath's teammate and former Rebel, S Jamal Harvey, stated he was coming to the game earlier this week but he did not make it.
of the key Mississippi players in next year's class was in attendance in
Noxubee County's WR/DB Vincent Sanders.
Vincent is a big time player that Ole Miss has deemed a "must have" in next year's class. Things continue to point in a positive direction for Ole Miss and Vincent.
**DT Berry Dabney out of Brentwood Aca made his second trip to Oxford in as many months, as he also attended the Sr Camp in late July. Dabney is a very good looking player on the hoof.
Berry's teammate and
hot list member, DL Thad McHaney, was
not able to make the game.
**Hot list PK, Andrew Rhitter, was wearing a smile a mile wide all throughout the game.
The Rebels have evaluated Andrew as their number one place kicker on their board.
**A couple of Kingsbury (TN) players were in attendance in DE Davis Stephens and Ehan Davis but their star RB and Ole Miss commit, Gabriel Hunter, was getting his knee checked out from an injury that he sustained in Friday's game.
Davis told me that Gabriel said he did not "tear" anything and would be back on the field soon.
I have not heard a report directly from Gabriel yet, but the news looks much better than first anticipated.
MSU commit and ICC standout, DL Parnell McPhee, was at the game with several
of his teammates.
Like Eric Smiley and Heath Blount, this young man already has that "college lineman" body.
**We will release the rest of the visit list in the near future.
