"I guess you could say I was in a zone," added Justin Bean. "I thought me and Chris (Garrett) were really feeling each other. They were keying in on Chad (Bumphis) so it left me open."
Justin has seen a couple of improvements in his game this fall.
"I am a lot smarter than most of the DB's. I am also a lot faster this year. I feel like I can do anything."
The Kentucky commit had a chance to take in the MSU game last Saturday.
"It was a good defensive game, but not much offense (laugh). Auburn is going to get better as they get use to the spread attack. It is just a matter of time."
The opening week of the season, the Tupelo native was in Oxford to check out the Ole Miss/Memphis game.
"That was a good game, a lot of offense. I wanted to see how their passing game was and how it worked. It works pretty good. They made a lot of big plays and put up 41 points."
This was not the first game of Ole Miss' for Bean to attend.
"The atmosphere is way more exciting this year. Last year they were kind of boring, but now they are alive. You know, with Coach Nutt coming in and having his reputation as a winner and bringing in the Wild Rebel, the fans are going to be way more into it."
The Wild Rebel set caught Justin's eye.
"That was my first time to see it in person. I saw it when McFadden ran it, but it is a lot more fun to see it in person."
Where does Justin now stand with his Kentucky commitment?
"I am still pretty solid on Kentucky, but if I had a second, it would be Ole Miss. Although they still have not offered me, they have picked it up. I have been over there a few times lately, but Kentucky has been with me from the start, so I am still solid with Kentucky."
