One of those players is their star safety, Frank Crawford.
"The season has been going good," added Frankie. "We are 5-0 right now. We are doing alright."
Frank had two interceptions in the first two games but an ACL injury could cut his season short.
"I am suppose to get back the results on Friday. It happened against West Lake. I am pretty down about it, but the surgery went good. It was (a) clean (tear)."
The 2007 1st Team All-Dade selection took in his first official visit last month.
"I went to Minnesota and liked it up there. Their coaches are real cool. All of their players are real cool. I liked all of their facilities. Their indoor practice facility is nice, and they are building a new stadium."
Crawford, along with teammates Artice Kellam and Darian Mallory, will visit Ole Miss in November.
"We moved our official visit there to November 26-28. That is when they play their big rival, Mississippi State. The doctors did not want me flying until then, with my knee and all, so we are going over there in late November."
Anymore visits lined up?
"That is it. South Florida is still calling a lot. They want to bring me in. Purdue and FSU are still calling."
Where does Ole Miss stand in the big picture?
"I like them a lot, but I am still open. They are one of the first schools I got an offer from, and I have been talking to them since last year. They are recruiting my brother, Drayquan Crawford, too. Drayquan is a freshman at Texas Kilgore CC right now. They want us both coming over there. I do not know. I just know more about Ole Miss than any other school. I am just ready to take my visit up there and see what it is like."
Where does Minnesota stand?
"I like Minnesota. Their coaches are cool. Their players are cool. We get a long. Their coaches show me a lot of interest. That is why I like them."
Does Crawford have a gut feeling yet on where he is headed?
"Yea, but I do not want to say (laugh)."
