Rebels Pick Up Florida Athlete

The Ole Miss Rebels picked up a commitment this week from a standout athlete from the state of Florida.

The Ole Miss Rebels picked up a verbal commitment from a football standout the Jacksonville, Florida area. Charles Clark, a quarterback/ safety from nearby Green Cove Springs (Fla.) Clay High School, committed to Ole Miss on Tuesday night.

"Charles is just a great athlete that never comes off the field for us," said Clay offensive coordinator Matt Lewis. "He plays QB, free safety and returns kicks. He still may visit Duke but he has committed to Ole Miss."

Clark, 6-1 and 190 pounds, runs in the 4.5 range. This season, he passed for 763 yards and 8 TD passes. He rushed for 1,120 yards and 14 scores. In fact, he scored in every game this season. Charles is also a basketball and track standout. He committed to Ole Miss over Louisville, Cincinnati and Duke.
