CB Jesse Grandy sets two SEC visits
"It was alright. We were on top of them, but the turnovers kept us from winning," recalled Jesse Grandy. "We just came up short, but we gave everything we had. We have nothing to be ashamed of."
The 5' 11", 185 pound started at both quarterback and cornerback for Dollarway.
"I was named the State Farm Defensive Player of the Year in Class 4A. I think I played well. There might have been a couple of time I could have put out a better effort, but I think I played real well. I improved on my secondary skills. That was probably the biggest improvement I made."
Grandy is now finished with his senior season so he is looking to find a new home.
"I have two visits set up so far. I am going to Arkansas this weekend and Ole Miss next."
What stands out with Arkansas?
"They are the home state school. They are a good school. They are a good college with good coaches."
And Ole Miss?
"They are a good school too. They have a solid program, and they have good academics. They have been winning pretty good. They won the cotton bowl. They just bring to the table what everybody else does."
Who is coming after Grandy the hardest; Ole Miss or Arkansas?
"To be honest, they are both coming after me the same."
What is going to separate the two schools?
"I am looking at their academics, graduation rate, and the environment.
