Lamar Scruggs came to Ole Miss over the weekend not knowing what to expect.
He left with a strong impression of Ole Miss, but he was not sure what his future would be at this juncture in the recruiting process.
"I had a great time," said Scruggs. "It's a family atmosphere, which is what I am looking for. Everything was good, great really. Awesome."
The Rebel staff, Scruggs said, did not pressure him at all.
"They didn't ask me for a commitment," he continued. "Coach Nutt told me to think about everything and make sure of my decision.
"Then we talked about what kind of impact I could make at Ole Miss. Coach Nutt is a cool dude. I like him a lot. With Jevan Snead at quarterback and the way they run their offense, there will be plenty of passes in the air and that excites any wide receiver. I think i would fit in there nicely."
Scruggs was hosted on his visit by current Rebel WRs Markeith Summers and Lionel Breaux.
"There were straight up with me. They said they would shoot me straight and let me decide on my own," Lamar said. "I liked that they weren't pushy."
Scruggs' decision, he said, is still in the air.
"I am going to visit Illinois next weekend and South Carolina the weekend after that and then I will decide where I am going," he closed. "At this point, I really don't know where I stand, but I did like what Ole Miss had to offer."
