Will Coach Willis departure effect Demond's decision?
"No, because Coach Roof was recruiting me for Auburn. Coach Willis is just the one that came to my house Tuesday."
Demond stated that he had made up his mind Monday for good after he received an inhome visit with Coach Nutt, who also visited Washington's mother, but now it looks like the water has become clouded again.
"I was confused until Coach Nutt came and saw me Monday, and then he told what I needed to know, and my mind was made up. But then Auburn sent their head coach to see my mom Tuesday and they sent Coach Willis to come see me the same day. That is when I got confused again. They told me that I will only play offense and return punts and kickoffs. There will be no defense if I go to Auburn. Plus, they were telling my mom that it is only 20 minutes from home, so she can come check up on me when she needs to. I do not know, I am still committed, but they have given me something to think about."
The Juco All-American informed his recruiter at Ole Miss this morning that he was back on the iffy side.
"I spoke to Coach Dickerson this morning, and he told me that he knows it can get confusing, and to not rush into anything and just let it come to me. He said hopefully that will be Ole Miss, but if not, he will be there for me no matter what."
The Alabama native knows the final decision will most likely be around signing day.
"I know Ole Miss and Auburn are both coming by here again next week, so I am sure they will give me their best sales pitch. I am just going to hear them out, go home for the weekend and talk things over with my mother. It should be a signing day decision for me."
