The Pulaski (TN) native did his job last season as he was named the Offensive MVP in Region 7(3A), All-MidState and All-State. He passed for over 1, 400 yards and rushed for 1, 250 yards
"I am a drop back guy, but I like to run the ball out of the shotgun. I am just a competitor. What ever they need for me to do, that is what I will do."
Bo has the speed and size to maybe even play tight end or wide receiver on the next level, but Wallace is focused on one position.
"I am just a QB. That is all I have ever played."
Wallace started getting his name out to college recruiters as a sophomore, and that is when his relationship started with Ole Miss.
"I sent Coach Austin a highlight tape, and he wanted me to come over to his camp, so I did. He wanted me to come back and hang out, and look at the facilities, so I came to the Vandy game this past year."
The relationship between the two continues to grow as Wallace attended Ole Miss' Jr Day.
"I have a really good relationship with Coach Austin. I love talking football and schemes with Coach Austin. He is a really cool guy. Out of all of the coaches I talk to, I really like him. Coach Austin is just a fun guy to be around."
What transpired at OM's Jr Day?
"I met all of their coaches, and then Coach Austin and I went and watched some film. My sophomore year, I was a drop back thrower. I only rushed for 350 yards that year, but this year I became a dual threat QB, and he liked how I ran the ball. He likes my size and wants me to come back to their camp on June 7th, which I am."
What stood out about Ole Miss during the visit?
"I just like the way they treat their players. I also liked their academic support and the campus is beautiful. But I really liked how Coach Nutt treats his players and how it is like a family."
Wallace has been invited to several more Jr Days.
"I was actually invited to Michigan State and Florida State, but they had their Jr Day on the same day as Ole Miss. I am going to Alabama's Jr Day next."
Who else is Bo interested in?
"I am definitely checking out Florida State. They send me stuff all of the time. I am going to try and visit Oregon. They have been requesting my film, and they want me to come to their camp. I am going to go to one camp that is real far away, and I think Oregon is where I am going. I am going to try and visit Ole Miss and Mississippi State, and hopefully get up to Tennessee."
Coach Saban is a big selling point for Alabama.
"Coach Saban has just done a great job. They went 6-6, and they were one game away from the national championship the next year. He had an amazing turn around."
MSU's offensive schemes excite Bo.
"Coach Dan Mullen is there, and I like to run the ball a little bit. He likes mobile QB's like a Tim Tebow. He just likes to get it in his play makers hands and see what he can do with it. We run a lot of the same things over here."
Tennessee's offense is one that he is familiar with.
"Coach Kiffin runs a pro-style, and that is what I really run in high school. That would be an easy transition for me."
FSU runs a lot of similar schemes too.
"They run really the same offense I run here. You get under center a lot, but you toss it around and let the QB run around a little bit. That interest me a lot."
Bo should have no problems qualifying as he reports a 2.8 GPA / 19 ACT.
