With the win, Dungy became the first African American head coach to win the Super Bowl, and also the sixth man to play and be the head coach of a Super Bowl team.
Dungy spoke with the Rebels about his experiences with high expectations and also of the opportunity that lies ahead with three games remaining for Ole Miss.
Shortly following the speech, Dungy met with the media of his first trip to Oxford.
Currently, Dungy is involved in a few outreach programs through charitable organizations in his native Tampa, Fla. All Pro Dad is Family First's innovative program helping men to become better fathers, while Abe Brown Ministries is an evangelical outreach centered on helping offenders, ex-offenders and their families achieve productive and fulfilling lives.
