Kennedy: 'We were brutally honest'

When No. 21 Ole Miss sat down to watch the tape following a deflating 80-75 loss to Mississippi State Saturday, head coach Andy Kennedy didn't hold back. View the video inside.

The Rebels, who led by as much as nine points twice in the second half, suffered far too many mental lapses down the stretch, according to the fourth-year head coach.

As Kennedy will point out, MSU point guard Dee Bost was allowed to get to the basket with relative ease in the decisive second frame through poor execution in transition defense.

Another issue, sophomore forward Murphy Holloway disappeared in the loss, leading Kennedy to call on Terrance Henry for added minutes.

Speaking with the media Monday, he discussed those issues and much more. Attention has turned to another set of Bulldogs in Georgia, a team that has proven formidable this season.

The teams face off in Athens Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
