Hollywood, FL, Cornerback Tony Grimes had nothing but good things to say about the Ole Miss Rebels after his official visit this weekend, but he's still holding tight on his final decision and wants to make a Signing Day announcement about his choice.
"It's still Ole Miss, Michigan and Maryland," said Grimes, a 6-0, 173-pounder. "I am not leaning anywhere right now. I still have time to decide, but I am through with my visits and am playing in another all-star game this weekend."
Grimes was impressed with everything he saw at Ole Miss.
"I got to meet a lot of the younger guys on the team like Alex Williams, Frank Crawford and Charles Sawyer," he said. "They were all cool.
"I also liked the reaction of the coaches there when they met me and the whole atmosphere surrounding the football program and the campus. The coaches seemed excited that I was there and that made me feel good."
Grimes also liked visiting the Square during his visit.
"It was a lot of fun. The people out on Friday and Saturday nights were all friendly and made me feel real welcome," he noted.
Grimes is aware Ole Miss has made cornerback a priority in recruiting and that it is a need area.
"That tells me there will be an opportunity for me to come in and compete for a job early in my career, which is important," he closed.
Which way will Tony Grimes go on Signing Day? He's not tipping his hand, but it will be no shock if he ends up a Rebel.
